Wellmann’s Brands

In 2010 Wellmann’s Brands opened The Famous Neons Unplugged, a craft beer bar located in Cincinnati’s historic Over-the-Rhine neighborhood. Neons quickly became the hub of neighborhood social life and helped spark the revitalization of the Main Street business district. The success of Neons led Wellmann’s Brands to open several additional bars in Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky.

Responsibilities included assistance with construction work on the bar’s new upper-level lounge / event space as well as daily bar operations, graphic design for Neons and initial branding for its sister bar Japp’s, social media management for Neons and Japp’s from 2010 to 2012, and ejection of the occasional unruly patron from the Neons beer garden.

Neons, Japp’s, and other Wellmann’s Brands establishments were featured in numerous publications, including The New York Times.
